Who We Are
Pull Tabs For Charity, Inc. is an IRS recognized public charity located in Bethesda, Maryland. Like many other public charities, PTFC is mission oriented and directed, and nonsectarian.
Fifty-percent of all net proceeds Pull Tabs For Charity receives are donated to the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health, which is also located in Bethesda, Maryland. The remaining 50% is donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities' global office, located in Oak Brook, Illinois and earmarked for distribution to the approximately 250 regional Ronald McDonald House facilities located throughout the world.
No PTFC Corporate Officer, Board Member, Director, or Volunteer receives any monetary compensation (in any form) for his or her services. Likewise, our local recycler (and ally) Montgomery Scrap Corporation makes no profit on any recycling transaction. Rather, Montgomery Scrap Corporation gives PTFC the highest market rate possible for recycled aluminum. Likewise, our affiliated recyclers (ISRI member companies) graciously give us the highest market rate possible for recycled aluminum and typically make no profit on any recycling transaction. In fact, historically, most ISRI member companies give us more than the going rate (for recycled aluminum) as a gesture of good-will and respect for our effort.
